In the world of Dragon Ball, power is everything. Whether it’s through training, transformations, or the use of special techniques, characters are constantly striving to become stronger. One of these characters is Vegeta, the proud Saiyan prince who has been a staple of the series for decades. Over the years, Vegeta has undergone countless transformations and power-ups, but there’s one question on the minds of fans: will Vegeta become a God of Destruction? While the answer isn’t clear, there are certain clues that suggest it’s a possibility. In this blog post, we’ll examine some of these clues and explore the potential ramifications of Vegeta becoming a God of Destruction.
There is a possibility that Vegeta might take over Beerus’ position as the God of Destruction for Universe 7. This is due to the fact that he has attained his own Ultra Ego form which can only be accessed by those who have undergone the God of Destruction training. In this state, Vegeta becomes even more dangerous and destructive than before.
The dissimilarity between Goku and Vegeta can be observed in the way they acquired diverse transformations following their mastery of Super Saiyan Blue. Goku leans towards the Angels who prioritize technique, instinct, and evasion, whereas Vegeta is more akin to the Gods of Destruction in his self-indulgent and audacious approach to combat. Consequently, let us examine the method by which Vegeta can ascend to godhood.

Does Vegeta Become A God Of Destruction?
Right from the start of the Dragon Ball Super anime, it was evident that the Dragon Ball storyline was leading toward the acquisition of godly abilities by Goku and Vegeta, especially when they had to face the God of Destruction, Beerus. However, with the inclusion of other powerful divine beings like the Angels and the supreme deity Zeno, it became apparent that Goku and Vegeta were facing an uphill task to match up to these godly beings.
Goku and Vegeta aimed to exceed Beerus and potentially become the new God of Destruction by undergoing training with the Angel Whis. It is known that all Gods of Destruction were once mortal beings who attained immense strength and took over from their predecessors. As a result of their training, Goku and Vegeta gained the power to unleash Super Saiyan Blue, which is essentially the Super Saiyan form of Super Saiyan God.
Despite SSB not allowing Goku or Vegeta to surpass Beerus, it was evident that they were unable to surpass Jiren, a mere mortal from Universe 11. However, Goku was able to shatter his limits and unleash Ultra Instinct, a technique used by Angels to swiftly counter any attack in combat. This achievement enabled Goku to attain godlike powers, possibly greater than some of the Gods of Destruction in the Dragon Ball multiverse.
Goku has attained immense power that approaches godly levels, but Vegeta has chosen to continue training and develop his own unique path without relying on unlocking Ultra Instinct. Goku and Whis are both carefree and rely on their instincts in fights, whereas Vegeta and Beerus share a hot-headed and impulsive nature. This raises the question of whether Vegeta will also become a God of Destruction.
In his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form, Vegeta has already proven his strength by defeating Top, who had unlocked his God of Destruction powers and became the next God of Destruction candidate of Universe 11. This puts Vegeta at the level of a God of Destruction, but not quite powerful enough to match Beerus, the current God of Destruction of Universe 7.
However, Vegeta’s personality makes him a good candidate for the God of Destruction post. While he loves fighting, it is his pride that fuels him to become a great fighter and he doesn’t want to come second to anyone. This is in contrast to Goku, who simply loves fighting for the sake of it. Most Gods of Destruction are prideful beings that boast about their powers, making Vegeta a perfect fit for the role.
But will Vegeta actually become a God of Destruction? It’s hard to say for sure, as the Dragon Ball franchise is known for its unexpected twists and turns. However, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. With his strength and pride, Vegeta would make a formidable God of Destruction. It would be interesting to see how he would handle the role and interact with the other gods in the multiverse.
Does Vegeta Get The Powers Of God Of Destruction?
Although Vegeta was able to defeat a weaker God of Destruction using his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form to overpower Top’s destroyer form, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he obtained the abilities of a God of Destruction. However, it is noteworthy that Vegeta has always been the Universe 7 mortal who is closest to the level of a God of Destruction. Therefore, the question remains: did Vegeta acquire God of Destruction powers?
In the manga series Granolah the Survivor Saga, Vegeta was able to tap into his God of Destruction abilities. This occurred when Granolah, who had gained immense strength from the Dragon Balls, surpassed Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue Evolved state. In response, Vegeta channeled his emotions and utilized his training as a destroyer god to access a new form that granted him similar powers.
Regarding this matter, Vegeta achieved a level of strength that closely resembled that of a genuine God of Destruction. He named this transformation Ultra Ego, which stood in contrast to Goku’s Ultra Instinct. Ultra Ego is essentially the opposite of Ultra Instinct since it relies more on the user’s strong emotions and passionate drive rather than their calm and emotionless state of being.
During the battle, Vegeta was able to dominate Granolah while in his current form until Granolah mutated his abilities to match Vegeta’s power. However, reports suggest that Vegeta’s Ultra Ego form is almost equivalent in strength to Goku’s Ultra Instinct form, but with more emphasis on destruction and the user’s mindset as a destroyer.
Which Episode Does Vegeta Become God Of Destruction?
As of now in the anime, Vegeta has not attained the capabilities of a God of Destruction. The reason being that Dragon Ball Super has been on a prolonged break, which is necessary for the manga to have adequate chapters for the anime to adopt in the future.
Vegeta managed to attain the abilities of a God of Destruction by unleashing Ultra Ego in the manga, which transformed him into a formidable entity that could compete with a God of Destruction. This event transpired during the confrontation with Granolah in chapter 74 of the Dragon Ball Super manga.
During this chapter, Vegeta demonstrated his destroyer abilities while in his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form. However, it was only after he acknowledged the importance of having a destroyer mentality that he was able to attain his Ultra Ego form and become a god-like destroyer with enhanced powers and skills.
